The Vault Is Here !!!|Jaclyn Hill X Morphe|First Impressions.

I haven’t been one to fall for the hype that comes with the anticipation and release of Social Media Influencer collaborations but as the “Human Bean” I am, I fell for the hype this year, its safe to say the Jaclyn Hill and Jackie Aina will be taking my student loan coins.

Starting with Jaclyn Hill X Morphe.

I am soooooooooooooo excited for today’s post. This probably has been the most awaited makeup launch of the year, as it raised quite a bit of controversy due to the first launch, which was meant to be released in July but was postponed when Morphe found inconsistencies in the pressing and manufacturing of the eyeshadows. Some palettes were coming off great and others were patchy, unblendable, etc.

What comes in the vault :

Which can be purchased as a collection for £49 or each individual palette for £15.

So, without further ado here is the Vault (Close up pictures and swatches)

  • The concept of the Vault is very creative and cute.
  • The color selection is super diverse and very wearable but allows you to be creative as well.
  • Packaging is EVERYTHING! Love the mirror, the names under the shadows and the revamped packing from the original. The outside is a glossy finish instead of matte like the original, which means the palette’s won’t stain on the outside or look dirty.

I am yet to really put these shadows to the test because I am saving that for a video  which will be up on my YouTube channel soon, please look out for that.

Hello Loves !!! Welcome Back!💜

Listen, I won’t go into an excuse making session about how life is stressful as a struggling millennial, we’ll save that for another time😅.

In all realness, your favorite sis👧🏾 took a much-needed break and potentially had the longest creative block of all time but I won’t be hard on myself I am only a “human bean”😂.

I an attempt to offset that, here’s a quick Vlog to let you know that I am still here🎬📷.

Vlog 5: Hotel Rambles

Enjoy !!!

A Motivation List…

Hey Lovelies, I hope you are all well and are blessed by the time this post reaches you.

So, I have recently been reading Naming My Voice‘s blog and she does this amazing thing where she writes lists of what she has done, what has happened or what she is going to do, simple, yes, but still very inspiring.

These days we often like to complicate things and we forget that there is much more substance in simplicity.

With that being said I will be sharing a list of things that will hopefully help you and myself stay motivated.

❤ Good vibes Only….

Make clear and concise goals, then remind yourself of them.

A mixture of short- and long-term goals is ideal, variety is important when it comes to these sort of things. Remember to keep your goals realistic, that way you will not be disheartened if you don’t reach them. That doesn’t mean you can’t push and challenge yourself though, if you don’t challenge yourself, then it’s not really a goal. Keep track of your goals and check your progress, this helps you stay motivated on a day to day basis.

Check your mic…

By this I mean make sure you are keeping up with their goals if you want to stay motivated. If you see that you are on track or even excelling every time you check your progress, you will be motivated and happy that you are getting there. If you see that you are lagging on your goals, get into first gear, get that clutch to bite, set your revs and get back on the road to continue your journey. ( i drive a manual car lol can you tell )

Reward yourself just because…

Honey! you’re putting in the much-needed effort, you deserve a reward, it’s not easy being you, sis !!. This could be as simple as a bowl of ice cream after a long hard week, watching your favorite series, having that extra slice of pizza, beating your face to the gawds – I am talking about makeup, don’t be alarmed lol. Whatever rewards will keep you going are the ones you should be giving yourself.

I Am Tired

Sometimes even the most determined people get overwhelmed. Don’t burn yourself out, take a much-needed break this might be just what you need. If it is a fitness goal, maybe take a three- or four-day rest instead of your normal one- or two-day rest. If it is at work, school, university, you are a superwoman /man please don’t try to do all your work in one sitting, stretch it out over the course of the day or week, if possible. Refresh yourself.

❤ Don’t be hard on yourself…

Everyone falls short sometimes. If you fail to meet your goals for the week, take it as a lesson. Try to complete your next target before time, so that you can use the saved time to complete the pending work. This way you stay right on schedule even if you have taken a hit. It’s not always about how hard you hit, but how well you can take a hard hit and keep moving on. Don’t dwell on failure; just accept it as a human occurrence, and continue working towards your goals.

❤ Pray Pray Pray Pray…

As you all know I am a Christian, my faith in God is my lifeline in all matters of my life. If you are of not any faith I encourage you to meditate, allow the little voice in your head to calm your spirit. we often mistake that voice for ourselves but that is the Holy spirit- believe it or not, he speaks for us when we cannot, he reassures and guides always.

I am sure there is a lot more you do to keep yourself motivated and I would love to read what you have to say in the comments.

Until next time,

Love C’awanzi XoXo

Hello Loves, welcome back to my little corner of the internet, I hope you are well and are blessed by the time this post reaches you.

I know you might be wondering why I have decided to write on this topic today as opposed to the beginning of the year, cause that’s when it’s most relevant – as people are influenced by the New Year New Me Spirit, in all honesty, I am not a believer in new year resolutions but I am most in favour of personal development plans which are healthy and sustainable – the best part is there’s no pressure of time limits and imaginary deadlines , you have enough room to grow.

In the spirit of developing yourself, thoughts of starting a blog might have crossed your mind and as your internet friend, I am here to help.

Side note: As per my previous post, I asked for what type of content you as my amazing readers would like to receive from me and the response was amazing – thank you so much, I appreciate you all. I made a list of all your requests, so look forward to the more exciting content.

The world of blogging is forever growing and changing, for this reason, there is a plethora of information and advice out there, don’t get me wrong that’s an amazing thing but not being able to utilize this wonderful information to your advantage can be frustrating, to say the least.

I will share 5 simple tips on how to start a blog in a Creative field :

Wait Wait Wait don’t close your browser tab, I am sure you have heard this before but it is the most genuine and beneficial piece of advice I can give you. You need a platform that allows you to share your passion, sites like WordPress, Blogger, and BlogLovin (other sites are available) can help you achieve that, they offer plans that range from FREE to Premium. So sign up NOW!

I am not saying start cranking out blog posts already, open the account, it helps as a source of motivation.

Square Space

People consume content differently, Remember, you don’t have to market to everyone, but there are definitely people out there who will resonate with and get value out of your content.

So take time to identify your target audience, Ask yourself what you want and what works best for you. Not everyone else, but you, from there you can narrow down and aim your content at people who have the same interests as you. Once you engage your audience, ask questions about the content they would like to see, LISTENING IS KEY. Tools like google analytics help you source where your audience is coming from and this gives you a better understanding of your niche.

Quite frankly is use social media for everything in terms of inspiration and networking. With an abundance of social media sites its easy to get lost in the mix , I suggest you find a platform that is convenient for and your content, I personally love to use Youtube and Instagram but Don’t neglect social media elsewhere like Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Linkedin etc. Make sure you hook these up to your blog’s feed and update your followers and fans with your latest post.Test everything first and make sure you’re happy with the result of the chosen platform.

People love images. Crisp Clean and Clear Images, some of the most popular arts and creative blogs in the world include a lot of imagery. This is partly because people love to quickly scan through web pages and they enjoy seeing photographs and pictures that help to break up text and add visual interest. When writing a creative blog, images are essential- these days all you need is decent lighting and a smartphone, so provide as many as possible and give your audience lots of things to enjoy.

If you don’t have the best photography skills or graphic design experience sites like adobe and canva offer a decent selection of stock images and pre made designs for your convenience.

Now that you have dotted your I’s and crosses your T’s, KEEP IT REGULAR.A blog is almost like an online journal and suggests a “regular” focus. Try and keep your blog updated with at least two articles a week. Ideally, you need to be blogging every single day, especially if SEO is one of your key priorities – if you are interested in SEO let know and I can write a more detailed post. Otherwise, just try and keep things going, Don’t let your audience forget you- they are the lifeline of your blog, we already have a short attention span as millennials, keep your audience engaged and build a personal relationship with them.

There are many more tips and tricks to learn out there, and that’s why I want to hear from you now, please feel free to share your tips on starting a blog in the comments below

Thank you for reading.

Love, C’awanzi XoXo.
